Description

LAMP – CEILING, WITH “CRANBERRY IW RED” VERTICALLY SCALLOPED GLOBE (BEAUTIFUL WHEN LIT), ELECTRIFIED BY REPLACING BURNER, NO CHIMNEY TO PUT IN LARGER BULBS (EASY TO REPLACE, CA 1870’S – EARLY VICTORIAN PERIOD. I BOUGHT 4 THAT CAME OUT OF A OLD SALOON/HOTEL IN OKLAHOMA (RED LIGHT ONES MADES ME THINK BROTHEL ALSO) WHILE AT ANOKLAHOMA GUN SHOW IN THE 1980’S. THIS IS NUMBER 1 OF THE LOT (US21371-74). I USED ALL OF THEM IN MY VICTORIAN FURNISHED HOME FOR MANY YEARS. IT IS EXC AND USABLE. EXPENSIVE AND CLASSY FOR ITS DAY. THE HANGING BRASS MEDALLION IS MARKED “KNOWLES” (E.R.KNOWLES) WHO WAS FAMOUS FOR EARLY KEROSENE LIGHT FIXTURES AND LATER ELECTRICAL LIGHTS (EARLY 1890’S). I BELIEVE IT IS THE SAME COMPANY STILL IN THE LIGHTING BUSINESS TODAY.
