CLIFFORD D. CHENEY. HE WAS IN TROOP B, GOVERNORS INDEPENDENT VOLUNTEER TROOP OF HORSE GUARDS WHO BECAME NATIONAL GUARD TROOPS IN 1911, THEN TROOP B CAVALRY, CONNECTICUT NATIONAL GUARD, 1917. SERVED ON THE MEXICAN BORDER WITH THE TROOP AND WHEN THE UNIT WAS FEDERALIZED IN JANUARY OF 1918, SERVED IN FRANCE AS A MAJOR OF ORDNANCE, BEING PROMOTE TO LT.COL IN 1919. PROMOTION/MISC.
