Description

TUNIC- M1902: A VERY INTERESTING NON-REGULATION FIRST PATTERN TUNIC W/STAND-FALL COLLAR, NO POCKETS, POINTED CUFF, RIMLESS EAGLE BUTTONS(4 BUTTON FRONT), SEWN IN SHOULDER TABS(PLAIN KHAKI). INTRODUCED IN 1898, THESE UNIFORM COATS DID NOT BECOME REGULATION UNTIL 1902. MANY VARIATIONS WERE MADE BEFORE THAT TIME, ESPECIALLY BY OFFICERS. WHOEVER HAD THIS ONE WANTED NO OUTER POCKETS, AND IT IS QUITE POSSIBLE IT WAS MADE FOR A PHILLIPINO SOLDIER DURING THE INSURRECTION PERIOD. WE HAVE OWNED SHORTENED COATS WORN BY PHILLIPINE SOLDIERS WITH ONLY 4 BUTTONS. IT IS 100% ORIGINAL AND OF THE 1902-1910 PERIOD. SEE PHOTO
